I have previously reviewed the new dakota diner at the end of 2017. I just recently heard that the Dakota Diner has been bought by the famous "Mike" of Staten Island Diner fame and I'm sure Mike will do a great job, but i do hope that he doesn't change the things that don't need fixing. To me, the staff is the heart and soul of the Dakota, and i should know, my wife and i have been going there since at least 1978. The present staff is consistently warm, starting with a big welcome from Angelina at the front door, and then being serviced by dedicated and knowledgable servers, such as Eleni K and not to mention the busboy, who is extremely hard working, refilling soda and coffee without prompting. The food, which is equally as important as the staff is always plentiful, well prepared, and most importantly, consistent. I look forward to many more years of great service and great food at the "Mikes"New Dakota Diner.

Very disappointed in what happened to this place. This was the number one diner for so long since the seventies, but it became horrible. It's probably because it's under new management

Real butter. Real sausage. Real pancakes. Real food! Best diner I've been to in some time.
I had the breakfast special, what we used to call 222 when I was a kid-two sausage two eggs two pancakes.
And here they serve it with fried potatoes (hand cut and pan fried! No deep fried frozen potato!)
Really delicious food and sweet servers. -

The fat old caucasian lady is a RACIST OL WOMAN...slick talkin in direct comments..I strongly advise no aboriginal a.k.a. black or latino to stay away..cuz she thinks everyone can't afford any other part of the menu besides the daily deals....not knowing I was in that establishment with 10large in my pocket....jus watch her facial expressions when she's away from u and around her kind...

Was here for Thanksgiving dinner on 11/22/18... Great service as always...
I don't live on Staten Island anymore but when I visit my dad we come here to eat.
He eats here a lot with his friends....
